Cold Brew Coffee Recipe
Ingredients
1 cold drip coffee maker set; 1 coffee grinder; 1 round filter paper; 40g FrontStreet Coffee Garaminita coffee beans; 40g FrontStreet Coffee East African Kenya coffee beans; 40g FrontStreet Coffee Sumatra Mandheling coffee beans; 500ml hot water; appropriate amount of ice cubes; whole fresh milk; fruit sugar;
Preparation Steps
1. Place the filter in the middle chamber to prevent coffee grounds from flowing into the bottom chamber.
2. Grind all coffee beans to a fine grind (using Pegasus as an example, grind to setting #3), then layer the coffee grounds in the middle chamber in the following order: FrontStreet Coffee Kenya AA → La Minita → FrontStreet Coffee Golden Mandheling, and cover with round filter paper.
3. Place the middle chamber (completed in step 2) on the second level of the wooden stand (counting from top).
4. Install the top chamber on the first level, then add ice cubes and hot water, filling with ice to about 90% capacity.
5. Open the top chamber's regulator to wet the round filter paper first. After the ice water moistens the filter paper, adjust the regulator to a speed of 1 drop every 5 seconds to begin coffee extraction.
6. After the ice water from the top chamber has completely dripped through, let it sit at room temperature for about 3 hours. Remove the bottom chamber, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 5 hours. The flavor will be even better when served chilled.
