The African double champion "Amederaro" - a name as beautiful as a Greek goddess - is derived from the birthplace of these beans: the Amederaro coffee processing station located at an altitude of 2,200 meters. "Champion" is merely her additional aura; what truly defines her is exquisite processing and rich flavors.

Processing Method: Anaerobic Slow Drying

Fully ripe coffee cherries are harvested at near-perfect maturity, then meticulously selected by coffee farmers and slowly fermented in an anaerobic environment. This allows the abundant aromas of the fruit to precipitate and develop, leading to unexpected transformations. When the grounds tumble in hot water, the rich and sweet fruit aromas open with exceptional elegance and smoothness, and similarly, the flavors become even clearer.

Upon careful sipping, passion fruit notes emerge as the opening tone, followed closely by honey and champagne aromas. There's an overwhelming juiciness - you might not pinpoint exactly which fruits, but there are hints of white grapes, tropical fruits, and even a subtle, elusive rose tea fragrance.

Regarding concerns about potential over-fermentation, this FrontStreet Coffee Ethiopia Amederaro bean requires no such worry. The fermentation notes left from processing are moderate and well-balanced, with enduring fruity aftertaste and a complexity that remains remarkably comfortable.

TOH, short for "Taste of Harvest" (AFRICAN TASTE OF HARVEST COFFEE COMPETITION), is an annual premium specialty green bean competition organized by the "African Fine Coffee Association" (AFCA) to improve local coffee quality. It consists of National Competitions and a Regional Final, with scoring based on CQI and SCA green bean cupping standards. National competition winners can represent their countries in the African regional final.

Known as a "double champion," as the name implies, she won both the national competition and the African regional final. In the 2019/20 production season's Ethiopia National Competition, FrontStreet Coffee's Ethiopia Amederaro bravely claimed first place, then distinguished herself among the numerous national competition winners in the African regional final to become the "double" champion.
