FrontStreet Coffee - Golden Mandheling Coffee Introduction

Name: Golden Mandheling (GOLDEN MANDHLING)

Origin: GAYO Mountains, Aceh, Indonesia

Altitude: Between 1500-2000 meters

Variety: Sumatra Typica

Characteristics: Above 18 mesh, large bean particles, dark green color, gradually turning golden after prolonged storage.

Green Bean Processing: Dry process, washed process with rigorous manual screening.

Roast Level: Medium to dark.

Flavor: After medium roasting, it presents a smooth appearance. Upon first sip, there's a honey aroma, followed by a rich mouthfeel and dark chocolate flavor. Its rich character combines elegant freshness with strong intensity in one cup. It has almost none of the typical Mandheling herbal, earthy, or woody flavors. The caramel sweetness is more intense, and the fruit acidity is brighter and more elegant.

Golden Mandheling: Over a decade ago, the Japanese adopted stricter quality control, conducting four rounds of manual bean selection to eliminate defective beans, producing Golden Mandheling with dark green color and uniform bean appearance, creating another wave of market demand that even drove Europe and America crazy.

Golden Mandheling is produced in the Lintong region of northern Sumatra, Indonesia. The harvesting is limited to fully ripe hand-picked single fruits to ensure initial bean quality. The coffee cherries are processed using the semi-washed method, naturally sun-dried, and after hulling, undergo another drying refinement process, two green bean cleaning operations, and four rounds of hand-picking! Therefore, it can be said to be a strictly selected premium Mandheling coffee.

The sweetness and cleanliness of Golden Mandheling, along with its rich, wild spice flavors, are slightly superior to regular Mandheling.

Knowledge Point: In the early 18th century, the Dutch established coffee plantations in the Indonesian colonies of Sumatra and Java. The mature coffee beans became a favorite food for civet cats.
