African Coffee Production Countries

Among African coffee-producing nations, Ethiopia, Yemen, Kenya, and others are considered first-tier specialty coffee bean producers.

Other countries such as Rwanda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Zambia are classified as second-tier coffee-producing countries.

The reason for being classified as second-tier lies not in flavor, but in production volume and quality stability that don't match first-tier producers.

Zambian Coffee

Zambia is a landlocked country situated in the southeastern corner of the African plateau. Coffee cultivation began relatively late, not until the 20th century when coffee was introduced from Kenya and Tanzania.

Zambia's main coffee-producing regions include Kasama, Nakonde, and Isoka.

Flavor Profile

Dry aroma presents citrus, orange peel, lime, caramel, almond, blackberry, and black currant notes.

Upon tasting, you can experience cranberry, citrus, with a full mouthfeel accompanied by floral notes, lemon peel, and small red berries.

The overall flavor is robust, smooth and delicate, with a syrup-like texture.

Zambia Natural Peaberry Coffee

Today we introduce another emerging African powerhouse: the natural peaberry from Zambia. Zambia's original varieties originate from Kenya and Tanzania, possessing similar characteristics to Kenyan coffee but with more complex and subtle layers, as well as a balanced mouthfeel. The beans we've prepared this time feature a light egg flower fragrance, citrus sweetness and acidity at high temperatures, which transforms into red berry acidity as the temperature slightly decreases, with a sweet nutty aftertaste and rich mouthfeel.
