This region is renowned for its pristine natural environment and diverse climate. Coffee in the Cobán region is cultivated on gently rolling hills that coexist harmoniously with surrounding rainforests and natural tree populations. The area is characterized by year-round cloud cover, abundant rainfall, and a cool climate. The region primarily experiences two seasons: rainy season and very rainy season. Additionally influenced by the tropical climate of the Atlantic basin, the cultivation soil consists mainly of limestone and clay.
The coffee flavor characteristics are distinctly different from other producing regions. Besides having bright and delicate acidity, it also possesses a subtle wine-like aroma.
