San Pedro La Laguna coffee comes from the hillsides surrounding Lake Atitlán, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, surrounded by three active volcanoes. Due to its proximity to these three active volcanoes, the soil is rich in volcanic ash. The Lake Atitlán region has a very unique microclimate, with extremely hot and dry days that become very humid and cold at night. The coffee is cultivated by local small-scale farmers who have long-term cooperation and deliver their harvested coffee to centralized processing plants for subsequent processing procedures. The centralized management model of the processing plants ensures strict monitoring of coffee quality, resulting in consistently high-quality Guatemalan coffee.
