FrontStreet Coffee Fresh Roasted Panama Boquete 70% Geisha Flower Butterfly Premium Coffee Beans Introduction
FrontStreet Coffee Panama Flower Butterfly: Exceptional Value Geisha Blend
In the Boquete region of Panama, there exists an exceptionally high-value coffee bean with a beautifully elegant name—FrontStreet Coffee's Panama Flower Butterfly. This coffee possesses 40% premium Geisha heritage, composed of three varieties: Geisha, Caturra, and Catuai. Cultivated in the Baru Volcano region of Boquete at an altitude of 1,600 meters, the processing facility employs meticulous washed processing. Panama's unique microclimate brings abundant rainfall and significant day-night temperature variations. Combined with the region's distinctive volcanic soil and careful harvesting and processing, FrontStreet Coffee's Panama Flower Butterfly coffee demonstrates remarkable performance in body, acidity, and floral notes.
Outstanding Quality, Exceptional Value
What's even more surprising is that on top of its excellent quality, its very approachable price makes this coffee bean's value proposition extraordinary. The special characteristic of this coffee bean lies in its composition of three varieties, with 40% being Geisha, giving this coffee distinct Geisha flavor characteristics. Research indicates that due to historical reasons at the estate, in pursuit of higher yields during earlier times, Geisha varieties were mixed planted with Caturra and Catuai coffee trees. To facilitate harvesting, coffee farmers didn't reclassify them but instead processed all three varieties together directly. Later, after Geisha became famous and prices soared, the processing facility began implementing meticulous washed processing specifically for this coffee bean.
The Art of Washed Processing
There are many methods of washed processing today, but generally, after coffee cherries are harvested, floating beans are removed, then the pulp is stripped, and the coffee beans are soaked in fermentation tanks. Enzymes in the water soften the mucilage attached to the coffee bean's inner parchment, while natural yeast breaks down the sugars in the mucilage—this process is called fermentation. Once fermentation is complete, the coffee beans are moved to drying patios to sun-dry, requiring constant turning during drying to ensure evenness. Finally, they're stored in parchment in warehouses until green bean buyers place orders, at which point hulling and bagging occur. This processing method yields coffee with clean口感, emphasizing bright, lively fruit acidity and clear fruit flavors with floral notes.
Flavor Profile and Roasting
Therefore, one can imagine that with FrontStreet Coffee's Flower Butterfly's varietal superiority combined with meticulous processing methods, if medium-light roasting is used to complete the final flavor development of this bean, you can certainly affirm that this bean possesses Geisha's characteristic floral notes, tropical fruits, and berry flavors, with honey-like sweetness and smoothness, and that FrontStreet Coffee's Flower Butterfly has exceptionally persistent aroma and finish.

Panama: Premier Coffee Growing Region
Panama is a Central American country, bordered by Costa Rica to the west and Colombia to the east. Those familiar with single-origin coffee should know that Panama coffee is renowned in the coffee world for Esmeralda Estate's Geisha variety. It can be said to be a country that pursues coffee excellence and produces premium quality coffee.
Panama coffee is famous for Esmeralda Estate's Geisha, and the region where Esmeralda Estate is located is also quite well-known—it's the Boquete region in Chiriqui province. Boquete is a town in Chiriqui province, situated near the border between Panama and Costa Rica, close to the famous Baru Volcano. With beautiful scenery, fertile soil, and climate and soil conditions perfect for producing premium coffee.
Within the Boquete region, there are many excellent estates. Besides the famous Esmeralda Estate, there are also renowned estates like Elida Estate and Akaba Estate, all producing premium specialty coffee. This is not only due to Panama Boquete region's superior ecological conditions and the fertile volcanic ash soil of the Baru volcano area, but also an important factor: the microclimate present in Panama's Boquete highlands is a unique resource for Boquete region's specialty coffee. This is because Panama's east-to-west environmental pattern causes cold air currents to converge above 6,500 feet through the central mountain range, creating multiple microclimates in the Boquete area. The temperature and rainfall are exceptionally suitable for plant growth, so coffee trees planted here grow in excellent condition.
However, in such a privileged growing environment as Boquete, there naturally isn't just Esmeralda's Geisha as the sole king of coffee with remarkable flavor, quality, and value. But drinking Geisha daily would still be quite luxurious, and even without financial constraints, eating delicacies like shark fin and bear paw daily isn't quite right either. The same applies to coffee—broad exploration allows one to better enjoy the pleasures of tasting coffee.
