Yellow Bourbon is a variety within the Arabica species. Besides Yellow Bourbon, there are also Red Bourbon and Orange Bourbon (along with Catuai, Catuai, and others). The Bourbon variety originally referred to coffee grown on the island of Bourbon and in Ethiopia, with an altitude of approximately 800-1900 meters being most suitable for Bourbon coffee bean cultivation. Brazil's Premium Coffee Production

Brazil has proven its capability to produce exceptional and boutique coffees. Local specialty coffee is not exclusively provided by small-scale coffee farmers. Brazil's main coffee producing regions include Sul de Minas, Matas de Minas, Cerrado, Chapadas de Minas, Mogiana, Paraná, and Bahia. These regions feature both traditional varieties and cultivars such as Bourbon, Mundo Novo, Icatu, Catuai, Iapar, and Catimor.

Fazenda Rainha: A Prestigious Coffee Estate

Fazenda Rainha (Queen Farm) is located in the Alta Mogiana region of São Paulo state, north of São Paulo city. This estate enjoys high recognition in Brazil and is owned by the Carvalho Dias family, which possesses four major estates. Since the first Brazil Cup of Excellence competition in 1999, these estates have won awards annually, receiving more than 12 awards over 7 years. In 2004, they even swept the championship, 9th place, and 11th place. Among countless large and small estates in Brazil that have hoped to win awards over the years, this family's four estates have consistently taken home multiple awards. Fazenda Rainha boasts an impressive record: second place in 2000, third place in 2001, and 29th place in 2005. To date, Fazenda Rainha has won awards three times.

FrontStreet Coffee's Brazilian Yellow Bourbon

The Brazilian Yellow Bourbon beans from Fazenda Rainha that FrontStreet Coffee has acquired are inherently sweet and clean. Using natural (or semi-natural) processing methods reduces its acidity slightly while allowing it to blend excellently with sweetness, offering tropical fruit aromas.
