The Blue Mountains: A Tale of Two Ranges
When Europeans arrived in Australia, the Blue Mountains had been occupied for thousands of years by the local Indigenous Gundungurra people, who are now represented by the Gundungurra Tribal Council Aboriginal Corporation based in Katoomba. According to Indigenous legend, the Blue Mountains originated from the legendary battle between dreamtime creatures Mirigan and Garangatch, with Garangatch being a semi-aquatic, semi-reptilian creature, and the Jamison Valley was split apart by their combat. The highest peak of the Blue Mountains, Mount Victoria, stands at 1,111 meters and remains an unconquered primitive mountain forest due to its remote and desolate nature. From the observation tower at the edge of Blue Mountains National Park, one can gaze upon layers of azure-blue mountain ranges extending to the horizon. Looking closer, the view reveals sheer cliffs standing majestically; waterfalls cascading down, merging into lush forests or plunging into deep ravines.

Jamaica's coffee industry faces a series of challenges, including hurricane impacts, increasing labor costs, and difficulties in mechanizing terrace farming. Many small estates and farms find it challenging to rationally cultivate Blue Mountain coffee.
Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Classification
Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee is classified into several grades. From highest to lowest quality, they are: NO.1, NO.2, NO.3, and PB, where PB stands for Peaberry (round beans). According to CIB standards, only coffee grown above 666 meters altitude can be called Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee.

It ranks second only to Blue Mountain Coffee in quality and is known by industry insiders as the sibling variety of Blue Mountain Coffee. Jamaica Prime Coffee Beans
Coffee grown outside the Blue Mountain range is called Jamaica Prime Coffee Beans. Originally, Chinese coffee professionals had a misconception that only coffee grown above 1,800 meters in the Blue Mountain area could be called Blue Mountain Coffee. In fact, there is only one estate on the mountain crown above 1,800 meters of the Blue Mountain range: Amber. It is owned by someone of Chinese descent, with the owner's surname being Lyn (Lin), and their ancestral home is Guangdong, China. This estate has only 30 hectares of land and very limited production.
Blue Mountain Coffee is mainly distributed across five mountainous areas: John Crow, St. John's Peak, Mossman's Peak, High Peak, and Blue Mountain Peak.
