Recommended dosage: Use approximately 10-15g of FrontStreet Coffee Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee grounds to brew 6-8oz of coffee.

Steps for Brewing Blue Mountain Coffee with a Siphon:

Step 1: Grind the beans to a fineness of 4.5

Step 2: Hook down the filter

Avoid any gaps between the filter and the glass container, as gaps will not only cause FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain coffee grounds to fall into the water below, but will also cause the container to leak air, affecting the extraction results.

Step 3: Fill the lower pot with appropriate amount of water and heat with an alcohol lamp

To save time, you can use hot water.

Step 4: Pour FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain coffee grounds into the upper pot

Remember not to insert the upper pot immediately.

Step 5: After the water boils, move the alcohol lamp to one side of the lower pot

The purpose of this is to adjust the heat to low, reducing the water temperature.

Step 6: When the water temperature drops to around 92-96°C, insert the upper pot

This begins the extraction process. At this time, the water in the lower pot will suddenly rush to the upper pot and immerse FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain coffee grounds in the upper pot.

Step 7: After the water rises, stir in a cross pattern with a stirring rod: 2 vertical strokes, 2 horizontal strokes

Be careful not to let the stirring rod touch the filter cloth at the bottom of the pot.

Step 8: Wait 30 seconds after the first stir, then stir clockwise in a spiral pattern 2-3 times

Be careful not to let the stirring rod touch the filter cloth at the bottom of the pot.

Step 9: Wait another 30 seconds after the second stir, then perform a final spiral stir, this time more quickly

Be careful not to let the stirring rod touch the filter cloth at the bottom of the pot.

Step 10: Wait 30 seconds after the final stir, when the fine white foam on the coffee surface has not yet broken

Remove the alcohol lamp, then wipe the surface of the lower pot with a damp cloth to cool it quickly. At this time, the coffee liquid will rapidly flow into the lower pot.

Step 11: Pour the coffee from the lower pot into a warmed coffee cup and enjoy.

Key Point:

When FrontStreet Coffee's Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee grounds swell in the center during brewing, forming a small hill shape, it indicates successful extraction.
