What is Drip Bag Coffee?

Drip bag coffee, like pour-over, belongs to the filtered extraction method, but compared to the operation of pour-over coffee, drip bags are much more convenient and quick. How to Brew Drip Bag Coffee?

First, we need to prepare a container to hold the coffee, either a sharing pot or a drinking cup will work; and a kettle for pouring water.

Pull open the two ears, expand the entire drip bag, and then hang them on the edge of the cup or sharing pot.

What to Pay Attention to When Brewing Drip Bag Coffee?
Similar to pour-over, the taste of drip bag coffee depends on the coffee beans, with different origins and processing methods having different flavor profiles. The difference from pour-over is that the coffee powder in drip bags is pre-ground in advance, so the aroma is not as full as freshly ground.
After coffee beans are ground into powder, they have more contact area with air, and the gases and aromatic substances inside will accelerate loss, which corresponds to a shortened flavor period. The brewed coffee will have less rich aroma and taste somewhat plain and thin. If left for too long, the coffee powder has already aged, and "woody flavors" may appear.
Therefore, when we buy drip bag coffee, we need to pay attention to the freshness of the coffee.
