This coffee presents aromas of lemon, orange peel, and orange blossom. In the cup, it reveals sweet and sour notes reminiscent of lemon tea, with fragrant, juicy flavors of peach, strawberry, pomelo, bergamot, and honey. The floral notes are rich and distinct, with a smooth mouthfeel and elegant, delicate flavors that are quite captivating. This FrontStreet Coffee Colombia Hanami Geisha Blend is composed of Geisha, Caturra, and Catuai varieties. At this point, some might wonder: is this still considered a single-origin coffee bean? Single-origin coffee refers to coffee beans grown in a single (same) coffee region/estate, not necessarily a single variety. Therefore, this Geisha blend is indeed a single-origin coffee.

Region Introduction: Huila

Colombia's Huila department is located at the intersection of the central and eastern Andes mountain ranges, situated in southern Colombia. The coffee growing area of Huila centers around Pitalito, with coffee cultivation at altitudes of 1750-1950 meters, primarily following smallholder farming models. In the past decade, small coffee farmers have worked together, harvesting coffee cherries by hand and processing them with meticulous care, ultimately transforming them into specialty coffee beans that showcase the distinctive flavor profile of the Huila region. FrontStreet Coffee has cupped multiple coffee beans from the Huila region, all of which feature nutty and caramel aromas along with gentle berry-like sweetness and acidity.

Finca Montblanco is located on the winding mountain roads of Vereda La Toxica in Pitalito, operated by estate owner Rodrigo Sanchez Valencia, whose coffee cultivation traces back to his grandfather. Finca Montblanco sits atop a hilly mountain with approximately 18 hectares of land. The estate boasts abundant water resources as well as complete washing and drying facilities, so most coffee beans produced here undergo washed processing, including special processing methods derived from the washed process.
