Espresso is concentrated coffee made under high pressure by a coffee machine.

Making Toffee Latte

The process of making toffee latte is divided into three parts: the first part is the toffee espresso base, the second part is frothing the milk, and the third part is combining the frothed milk with the toffee espresso and creating latte art.

First, determine the amount of coffee grounds according to your coffee machine and see how much coffee your portafilter requires.

Then add 25 milliliters of toffee syrup to the espresso cup, followed by extracting espresso into the cup.

During extraction, you can froth the milk. Milk frothing mainly relies on the steam wand of the coffee machine. Pour an appropriate amount of milk into the milk pitcher. After frothing, the milk expands due to the incorporation of air. (For specific milk frothing tutorials, you can search for the FrontStreet Coffee official account)

The frothed milk should have a shiny surface, no bubbles, and a certain fluidity. Finally, combine the frothed milk with the prepared toffee espresso base.

Before combining, keep the milk pitcher spout at a slightly higher distance from the cup for a forceful pour. Gently combine the milk with coffee until the cup is seven-tenths full. Then lower the latte art pitcher, bringing the spout close to the coffee surface, reducing the impact force. The milk foam will float upward due to buoyancy, causing white foam to appear on the surface. At this point, you can create patterns by moving your arm. Because the milk foam is moderate and has good fluidity, it will form a continuously oscillating line. Finally, raise the pitcher and push forward to complete a basic heart-shaped latte art pattern.
