Panamanian Coffee
Panama, located in Central America, is known as the "World's Bridge." Situated between 7° and 10° north latitude, close to the equator, Panama features varied terrain with numerous valleys and ravines. The east-to-west topography allows cold air currents to flow through the central mountain range, converging at altitudes above 6,500 feet. This creates diverse microclimates in the Boquete and Volcán-Candela regions, making them the primary production areas for Panama's distinctive coffees. The nutrient-rich volcanic soil in the Barú volcano region further enhances the growing conditions for coffee.
Panama's premium coffee is grown in the western part of the country, near Costa Rica and close to the Pacific Ocean. The most famous coffee comes from the Boquete region in Chiriquí Province, with other notable areas including Volcán, Santa Clara, and Candela. Additional coffee-producing regions include David, Remacienso, Bugaba, and Tolé.

Panama boasts many renowned coffee estates, including Villa Donica, Finca La Valentina, Elida Estate, Casa Ruiz S.A., Hacienda La Esmeralda, and Hacienda La Esperanza, among others.
Panama's distinctive coffees are classified into small batches and numbered, with small batch sizes designed for optimal management. The classification system allows buyers to understand and track information throughout the entire process. Due to these limited quantities, Panama's coffee products are positioned as specialty coffees. The country supplies its premium products to specialty shops worldwide, including in Denmark, the United Kingdom, Greece, Norway, Sweden, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and the United States.
