Jamaica's Blue Mountain coffee is renowned worldwide, and even those who don't typically drink coffee should be familiar with its prestigious reputation! Blue Mountain coffee is beloved for its perfectly balanced sweet and sour profile and rich body. Due to its rarity, Blue Mountain coffee has extremely limited production, making it expensive. The perfect harmony of sweetness, acidity, and bitterness in the coffee also contributes to its high price. It's important to note that because of Blue Mountain's immense popularity, many counterfeit "Blue Mountain-style" coffees have appeared on the market.

Jamaica's weather, geological structure, and topography together provide the ideal growing conditions for Blue Mountain coffee. The mountain range running through Jamaica extends to the eastern part of the island, with the Blue Mountains reaching heights of over 2,100 meters. The climate is cool, foggy, with frequent rainfall. The Blue Mountain coffee growing region has fertile volcanic soil, providing a rich foundation for coffee tree growth. Clifton Estate is the only Rainforest Alliance certified farm within the Blue Mountain growing region.

Tips: What is Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffee?

The Rainforest Alliance certification logo features a distinctive frog. Rainforest Alliance certified coffee is often referred to as "frog beans." Rainforest Alliance (RA) certification means: farms that meet the standards established by the Rainforest Alliance are certified for protecting the farm and its surrounding ecosystem, restricting pesticide use, and evaluating waste management benchmarks. Only coffee that passes assessment and certification can be called "Rainforest Alliance certified coffee." Traditional cultivation methods under native forest shade are used, which are beneficial for ecosystem protection. Part of the alliance's revenue is also used for wildlife protection in tropical rainforest conservation areas and improving workers' living conditions.

FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain coffee comes from Clifton Estate, featuring rich, dense aroma and overall balanced, full-bodied character.
