The Illubabor commercial coffee region is located southwest of Jimma, bordering Sudan. It is Ethiopia's westernmost coffee growing area, where coffee grows at altitudes of 1350-1850 meters. Most coffee from this region is transported to Jimma for blending, with rare independent sales. These are not specialty beans - the beans are noticeably larger than Yirgacheffe and Sidamo.
