FrontStreet Coffee - Introduction to Colombian Coffee

Many people enjoy drinking Colombian coffee, which has a silky smooth texture. Among all coffees, it has the best balance, with a mellow and smooth texture that can be enjoyed anytime. Whether in appearance or quality, Colombian Supremo is excellent and is a black coffee not to be missed.

Colombia boasts beautiful mountains, charming scenery, pleasant weather, spring-like seasons, and refreshingly clean air. With its mild climate and humid air, Colombia's diverse climate makes it a harvesting region year-round, with different varieties of coffee maturing at different times. They grow unique Arabica coffee beans, and the coffee made from these beans has a rich flavor and endless aftertaste, making it truly premium coffee.

The cultivation history of Colombian coffee beans dates back to 1808. A priest first introduced coffee to Colombia from the French Antilles via Venezuela. Colombia's suitable climate provided a true "natural pasture" for coffee. Since then, coffee trees have taken root in this country. It has become the second-largest coffee producer after Brazil, the world's largest exporter of Arabica coffee beans, and the world's largest exporter of washed coffee beans.

Colombian coffee beans are a quite representative excellent variety among Arabica coffee species and are also traditionally deep-roasted coffee, with a strong and memorable taste. Its aroma is rich and full-bodied, with bright, high-quality acidity, high balance, sometimes with nutty notes, and an endless aftertaste. Whether in appearance or quality, Colombian coffee is superb. Like a charming and passionate woman, it's just right.

Colombian coffee beans have a balanced flavor with a relatively smooth texture, like a gentleman among coffees, well-regulated and conventional. Its producing regions are quite extensive, with Medellin, Armenia, and Manizales being the most famous, collectively referred to as "MAM."

The premium producing regions of Colombian coffee beans are mainly in the south, at altitudes above 1,500 meters, including San Augustin in Huila Province, Popayan in Cauca Province, Nariño Province, and Tolima Province. Products from these places have delicate sour and berry aromas, with caramel notes and a full sweet sensation.
