FrontStreet Coffee - Brazil Nossa Senhora da Luz Estate Yellow Bourbon Natural Introduction

Estate Overview and Honors

Nossa Senhora da Luz Estate is located in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil, which produces the most specialty coffee. In 2013, the coffee grown by Nossa Senhora da Luz Estate, with a score of 92.22, became the champion of Brazil's COE (Cup of Excellence) late harvest season with the highest score.

The owners of Nossa Senhora da Luz Estate are the couple Regina Lucia and Edmo Villela. Their sons Cinthia, Tatina, Claudia and Rnoney Dias Villela are currently running this estate. Currently, the fourth generation has begun to enter the coffee cultivation industry.

Bourbon is a branch of Arabica. Bourbon includes Red Bourbon, Yellow Bourbon, Pink Bourbon, and Orange Bourbon. There is also the extremely low-yield Laurina, which is rare on the market. Among them, Yellow Bourbon turns yellow when the fruit matures, whereas generally, coffee fruit is red when mature. Yellow Bourbon has high sweetness and is suitable for both light and dark roasting. In recent years, Yellow Bourbon has frequently been in the top three of COE, which is remarkable.

It achieves a high score of 87 in cupping. Flavors of tropical fruits, passion fruit, jackfruit, cantaloupe, cherry, and red berries, with medium to high body, and a finish of guava and red wine.

This Brazilian Nossa Senhora da Luz is very suitable for those who enjoy full body and sweetness. Although Brazil produces a large amount of coffee, high-quality Brazilian beans that both have Brazilian regional characteristics and are clean are rare.
