FrontStreet Coffee - Ethiopia Sidamo Nectar Introduction

Sidamo is a renowned specialty coffee producing area in southern Ethiopia. Sidamo coffee offers extremely diverse flavors, with conditions such as high cultivation altitude and abundant rainfall contributing to this exceptional coffee quality. In the 2010-2012 period, it continuously achieved high scores of 92-94 from CR, a authoritative American coffee evaluation website.

Characteristics

Upon close inspection, Sidamo raw coffee beans are slightly grayish in color, with small and uniform shapes and relatively thin pulp. The beans appear light greenish-yellow with a yellowish tint and have low moisture content. The coffee exhibits both delicate and bright acidity, with appropriate body thickness, sweet and spicy flavors. Unlike typical African coffees, Sidamo coffee has clear fruit acidity, smooth texture, and refined floral and herbal aromas. Natural processed Sidamo has flavors close to floral notes but with slight earthy undertones.

Creamy Chocolate Aroma

This natural processed Sidamo Nectar brewed coffee has rich creamy chocolate aroma in its wet fragrance. The initial bitterness is light and quickly disappears, with a rich and viscous aftertaste that leaves honey and toffee sweetness.
