FrontStreet Coffee - Colombia Finca Las Nubes Maragesha 1 Introduction
When mentioning Colombia, many coffee enthusiasts absolutely adore the coffee beans cultivated in this country's "beautiful mountains and waters." Their flavor richness and fruit acidity create a perfect balance, making them beans with excellent drinkability and broad appeal. Among these, Colombia's Geisha has undoubtedly been a more dazzling coffee performer than Panama's Geisha in recent years, mainly due to its repeated victories in international competitions, where it has firmly surpassed Panama's most famous Hacienda La Esmeralda.
Interestingly, Colombia's Geisha cultivation has some connection to Panama's Hacienda La Esmeralda. As early as 2007, La Esperanza estate first purchased the Cañada estate next to Hacienda La Esmeralda to practice and learn how to cultivate Geisha. After mastering the techniques, they transplanted the Geisha varieties back to higher altitudes of 1700-1950 meters. The large day-night temperature differences and rich microclimate make these "descendants" transplanted from the Cañada estate near Hacienda La Esmeralda truly exceptional.
