Latin American Coffee

Coffee from Latin America features cocoa and nutty flavors, with low acidity and high body. The coffee beans from this region have lively yet mild flavors, and their refined taste makes them highly regarded.

African/Arabian Coffee

Coffee from Africa and the Arabian region features citrus and floral notes, with higher acidity and lighter body. This is where coffee first originated, and the coffee produced in these regions has fascinating flavors.

Ethiopia

Coffee trees are native to the highland regions of southwestern Ethiopia, where they originally grew as wild plants. The name "coffee" originates from the Ethiopian town of "Kaffa." In fact, many coffee trees in Ethiopia still grow wild today. The coffee cherries that grow on these trees are full-bodied and slightly wine-like in aroma.

Ethiopia is an important coffee-producing country. In Ethiopia, you can find various coffee cultivation methods, from extensive wild coffee forests and semi-developed lands to traditionally managed small plots and modern plantations. Approximately 50% of coffee trees are planted at altitudes above 1,500 meters.

Asian/Pacific Coffee

Coffee from Asia and the Pacific region features earthy and spicy aromas, with moderate acidity and body. The coffee produced here has a long history and full-bodied, earthy characteristics, making it an extremely popular coffee variety.

India

India ranks among the top coffee producers in the world and produces both Robusta and Arabica varieties. It is also one of the countries that uses both washed and natural processing methods.

Coffee cultivation in India is mainly concentrated in the region between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea in southern India. Monsooned Malabar is a distinctive type of Indian coffee. This coffee bean acquired its unique characteristics because when it was exported from the Malabar Coast to Europe, the raw coffee beans were exposed to sea breezes for extended periods during the voyage. This exposure changed both the color (golden) and flavor profile, creating a taste that Europeans came to prefer.
