Geisha originated in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, and after a long journey, finally took root and flourished in Panama. Due to its tall trees and low yield, the Geisha variety was once disliked by Panamanian growers, even used as windbreak trees for other high-yield varieties. It later made a magnificent transformation through winning competition after competition, entering people's vision and receiving widespread attention. Currently, Geisha is grown in many regions worldwide and has become the new king of specialty coffee, with Panama producing the highest quality.

Geisha is extremely demanding about its environment—it must grow in high-altitude regions above 1,500 meters, requiring cloud shade, fertile soil, and sufficient accumulated temperature for healthy growth. Panama, with its unique environmental and climatic advantages, has successfully cultivated batch after batch of high-quality Geisha. However, Geisha's yield is actually not high, so its price is also very expensive. But what truly makes it precious and continuously sought after is its highly recognizable flavor—persistent floral and fruity acidity, refined coffee taste, moderate body, clean and lively flavor layers, leaving a lasting fragrance in the mouth with an endless aftertaste!

This Geisha comes from Elida Estate. Located in the most noteworthy Boquete region, Elida is one of the two highest coffee estates in Panama. It has a long history—founder Robert Lamastus began growing Arabica coffee in Panama's picturesque Boquete region in 1918. After two generations, Elida Estate gradually grew into a heavyweight star estate, winning Best of Panama awards for several consecutive years, with a remarkable record second only to Hacienda La Esmeralda.

Flavor Characteristics

Intense jasmine flower aroma, fresh lemon pulp, sweet pomelo, lactic acid.

This coffee bean belongs to the higher-end category on the market, a quality coffee bean second only to Hacienda La Esmeralda. When opening the package, you can clearly smell rose and jasmine flower aromas, while your nose can sense the fresh scent of lemon leaves and some pomelo peel. When drinking it, you'll find distinct layers—the first segment feels relatively gentle, while the second segment shows clear acidity and body with层次感 (layered complexity). Because the initial temperature is 89 degrees, it will drop below 80 degrees after a few minutes, and the acidity will gradually become more pronounced.
