Is Honduras Lychee Orchid Coffee Delicious? Lychee Orchid Coffee Bean Flavor Description - Wine Aroma and Chocolate
Introduction to FrontStreet Coffee's Honduras Lychee Orchid
Honduras is a mountainous country in Central America, located between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, bordering Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. With a tropical climate and an average annual temperature of 23°C, abundant rainfall throughout the year creates an ideal environment for coffee cultivation. The country has 280,000 hectares of coffee plantations, mostly consisting of small coffee estates. Honduras has made many improvements in processing technology and transportation capabilities, achieving significant development in the coffee market over the past 20 years. Increasing numbers of people are beginning to pay attention to Honduran coffee, and it has gained recognition from many major coffee-consuming countries.
In recent years, many processing plants have introduced various innovative processing methods. When various 90+ processing methods were still a novelty in the early days, now anaerobic processing, red wine processing, and even oak barrel processing have become common. It can be said that these emerging processing methods have greatly enriched the flavor profiles of coffee beans.
FrontStreet Coffee's Lychee Orchid is a bean processed in Honduran brandy oak barrels through fermentation. This processing method first involves meticulous washing of freshly picked coffee cherries, followed by low-temperature fermentation in brandy oak barrels for 30-40 days (at approximately 15-20°C), and then shade drying.
The moment you open the roasted bean package, you'll be greeted by an explosive brandy aroma. This fragrance becomes even more intense after grinding. During the brewing process, intoxicating wine and fruit aromas linger at your nose tip. The first sip is even more astonishing: lychee fragrance, brandy aroma, honeydew and honey sweetness, and a long-lasting chocolate aftertaste... This specialty coffee experience is unforgettable once you've tried it!
