Yirgacheffe, as one of the most crucial producing regions in the promotion of specialty coffee culture, is very familiar to many people and they love the beans from this region.

However, in recent years, the washed Yirgacheffe processing plants that have entered mainland China are relatively limited, with only a few well-known beans appearing in various specialty coffee shops, which have been widely defined as the flavor profile of washed Yirgacheffe.

The Yirgacheffe coffee we often mention comes from the small town of Yirgacheffe in Ethiopia, Africa. Because most coffees are named after their origin, they are called Yirgacheffe. The elevation of Yirgacheffe town ranges from 700 to 2100 meters. This area has been a wetland since ancient times. In the local language, "Yirga" means "to settle down" and "Cheffe" means "wetland." The coffee produced here has unique citrus and floral flavors, making it one of the highest altitude coffee-producing regions in the world and synonymous with Ethiopian specialty coffee, hence its long-standing reputation.

Yirgacheffe has two processing methods: natural and washed. Natural processed coffee has higher body with rich tropical fruit aromas, while washed processed coffee offers bright acidity and floral-fruit notes. You can choose according to your personal preferences.
