FrontStreet Coffee - Yunnan Anaerobic Natural Introduction
Located in Baoshan, Yunnan, this estate covers over 100 acres of land. With spring-like weather year-round and significant temperature variations between day and night, beyond 1,500 meters above sea level, vast coffee forests are situated on naturally shaded slopes. On the other side lies a cliff where we can watch birds fly far beneath our feet as white clouds drift lower than the mountain peaks. This is how it earned the name "Cloud Manor" - a manor in colorful Yunnan, above the cloud-ridged mountains.
The estate owner, Duan Yong'an, born in the 1980s, comes from a family that has been growing coffee for many years before he was even born. Having been exposed to coffee since childhood, he grew increasingly familiar with and passionate about it. Diligent and eager to learn, he has continuously worked to improve coffee quality. He has been a close partner with Aodibei for many years of deep collaboration. Through these years of continued cooperation, we have witnessed Brother Duan's coffee quality improve year after year.
Fully ripe cherries, sealed in thin film bags, placed in cool shade for anaerobic fermentation, dried on high trellises, manually sorted for underripe and overripe fruits, evenly turned... The meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire processing process, as Robin evaluated, is no less than that of South American estates.
The final result completely subverted all our colleagues' original impressions of Yunnan coffee. It is clean and smooth, presenting more excellent flavor layers, with rich jackfruit and tropical fruit sweetness and acidity, overlapping with black rum aroma and delicate spice notes. Truly astonishing!
Although the internet has been filled with many negative reviews about Yunnan coffee over the years, through continuous deep cooperation and exchange with the Yunnan growing region, we have personally felt that Yunnan coffee quality has been constantly improving. This time, we want to use this anaerobic natural Yunnan to help more people discover the different charms of Yunnan coffee.
