Sumatra is an Indonesian island that produces coffee, and Sumatra Mandheling is described by coffee connoisseurs as "the world's most textured coffee." It grows in the Michael Highland at elevations of 750-1500 meters and was introduced to the island in the 18th century.
Pour-over is the best way to bring out the flavor of Mandheling coffee. Using warm water around 80°C to wet the ground coffee, allowing the coffee liquid to slowly pass through filter paper into the pot. This method brings out the caramel sweetness in Mandheling coffee's aftertaste and presents the coffee's most original flavor. If you are someone who doesn't like coffee acidity, Mandheling coffee is probably an excellent choice.
