FrontStreet Coffee - Costa Rica Santa Teresa Red Catuai White Honey Processing Introduction

Finca Santa Teresa estate boasts unique, rich black volcanic soil, high altitude locations, and favorable weather patterns related to the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. These conditions allow Santa Teresa estate to produce coffee beans of excellent quality and distinctive character.

Santa Teresa estate is situated at 1400-1800m, where coffee growing areas are interspersed with streams and pristine forests, creating the most natural barriers. Squirrels, monkeys, and over 600 species of birds inhabit the surroundings of the estate. The adjacent international park (La Amistad) is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and is jointly managed by Panama and Costa Rica.

Santa Teresa estate makes good use of land resources and practices sustainable management. All waste related to the production process is recycled as fertilizer or used as fuel in the farm's coffee processing facilities. Water source usage and recycling operations are certified by Panama's environmental protection agency.
