The flavor of Kenyan coffee is actually quite easy to identify: it has a sweet and sour sensation similar to cherry tomatoes and preserved plums, rich chocolate flavor, and like its natural scenery, it is intriguing and possesses an irresistible aroma.

This is mainly attributed to Kenya's high altitude and low mountain temperatures, which extend the maturation period of coffee beans, conducive to accumulating complex fruit aromas. Its vibrant acidity, heavy and aromatic fruit flavors, such as blackcurrant, grapefruit and other tastes, constitute the rugged and mature characteristics of Kenyan coffee.

The local specialty coffee industry differs from the general pattern, mostly in the form of a combination of small farmers, wet processing plants and cooperatives.
