Introduction to FrontStreet Coffee's Panama Hartmann Estate Anaerobic Natural "Flower Butterfly" Coffee
Panama Coffee - Hartmann Estate
Hartmann Estate is located west of the Baru Volcano and is the first farm in the Volcan region to cultivate coffee, with extreme emphasis on quality. The estate sits at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level, with suitable temperatures. Towering primeval forests provide the ideal shade environment, allowing crops to mature slowly. The resulting coffee has strong fruit flavors, high sweetness, and brighter acidity.
Hartmann Estate cultivates a wide variety of coffee beans, including Typica, Caturra, Catuai, Bourbon, Pacamara, Pache, Maragogipe (Elephant Bean), and Geisha.
Main processing methods at the estate: Washed, Natural, Honey, and Wine-Flavored Natural processing.
A particularly recommended Hartmann Estate offering is their Long-tailed Cuckoo Wine-Flavored Natural, with enchanting and complex flavors. Inspired by red wine fermentation techniques, the enclosed fermentation process prevents aromatic compounds from evaporating easily. The green beans have a sweet honey aroma, while the dry fragrance reveals notes of mango, strawberry, peach, and citrus. In the cup, it displays rich mature fruit flavors of passion fruit, mango, pineapple, strawberry, and peach, accompanied by aromas of orange peel and cherry wine.
