FrontStreet Coffee's Costa Rica Musician Series: Mozart Flavor Profile Introduction

Yellow Catuai comes from a hybrid of Mundo Novo and Caturra, first cultivated in 1949 by the Instituto Agronomico de Campinas in Brazil. Like Red Catuai (Catuai rojo), Yellow Catuai has excellent disease resistance and is suitable for cultivation at high altitudes and windy areas. Both Catuai varieties have very delicate and clean acidity. Through machine adjustments, both red honey and yellow honey processed coffee are produced (depending on the degree of honey processing). CANET is located in the highest altitude coffee growing region of Costa Rica's TARRAZU. This area is the most intensive fruit cultivation region in Costa Rica. The plantation owner mainly grows passion fruit, with coffee quantities being quite scarce. Coffee is only grown in a specific area with special care, harvesting only mature red cherry fruits.

FrontStreet Coffee's Mozart is one of the Costa Rica Musician Series. The Musician Series is a mysterious coffee bean, with its origin and processing methods being topics of much discussion. Although we have provided information above, careful investigation reveals that both the plantation and processing methods are only roughly provided by "Black Gold" (the creator of the Musician Series). While Canet Estate exists, its small area is insufficient to support such a large supply volume, and raisin honey processing is also a traditional Costa Rican processing method.

Although Mozart was a prolific composer, this coffee bean is not high-yielding. It was likely named Mozart because its overall flavor profile is fresh, with balanced floral and fruity sweetness, much like Mozart's compositions - emphasizing harmony and regularity without being overly intense, with beautiful yet uncomplicated melodies. The simple melody is like a bouquet of sweet flowers. It particularly resembles "Minuet," with its fresh and lively rhythmic atmosphere, as if the coffee is dancing on your taste buds.
