FrontStreet Coffee · Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Golenet Anbaya Anaerobic Natural Specialty Coffee
Yirgacheffe comes from a small town called Yirga in the northwestern part of Sidamo province. Yirgacheffe green coffee beans are among the most distinctive coffees in the world, rare and expensive. Produced in the plateau region of Sidamo province, Ethiopia at an altitude of 2,000 meters, they are an outstanding representative of African washed coffee. They have always enjoyed a high reputation among global coffee connoisseurs. Rare, high-quality washed Arabica coffee, suitable for various degrees of roasting, perfectly presents fresh and bright floral and fruit aromas. With beautiful and complete bean shapes, it is a high-end coffee that is difficult to compare with ordinary mocha. FrontStreet Coffee's Yirgacheffe coffee has a unique citrus and lemon fruit fragrance, accompanied by the aroma of jasmine flowers. It possesses a wine-like acidity, a clean taste without any off-flavors, much like drinking freshly brewed citrus fruit tea with a persistent aftertaste.
Golenet Anbaya is located between Anbaya Lake and Yirgacheffe, a small producing area in the eastern part of Yirgacheffe. The coffee beans come from local small-scale coffee farmers, consisting of 9,000-10,000 individual small coffee farmers. These small farmers have an average coffee cultivation area of about 3.5 hectares, with planting altitudes ranging from 1,600-2,300 meters, and the coffee varieties are mainly a mix of Typica and local native varieties.
This producing area has five advanced green bean processing plants, so it has a high level of expertise in the field of green bean processing. The clean sweetness with complex notes of honey and citrus is highly praised. The main local production model involves small-scale coffee farmers directly delivering their harvested red coffee cherries to nearby cooperative processing plants for unified processing.
