"FrontStreet Coffee's Flower Queen" also has rich characteristics of passion fruit, peach, and berries, with a wonderful taste that is unforgettable after trying.
Only the natural-processed coffee beans from "Buku Abel" in the Hambella region are the true Flower Queen. Currently, there are nearly 20 processing plants in the Hambella region. Among all estates and processing plants, only the natural-processed coffee from Buku Abel estate is what we refer to as FrontStreet Coffee's Flower Queen.
The Origin of Flower Queen
Buku Abel is a small village surrounded by mountains on the African continent at an altitude of 2280 meters. December is its coffee harvest season each year. At this time, the mountains are filled with red, ripe coffee cherries, neatly arranged on African drying beds in the village - this is where "Flower Queen" is processed.
The coffee trees at Buku Abel estate are all planted on the mountainside at altitudes ranging from 2250 to 2350 meters. Coffee farmers only begin natural processing when the sugar content of the picked red cherries reaches above 30. During the first two days of natural processing, it is necessary to maintain the moisture of the red cherries to allow sufficient time for fermentation. At night, the temperature here drops to around 12 degrees, which ensures that the red cherries are not over-fermented.
After 18 days of natural processing, the fruit skin and pulp have completely dehydrated, making it easy for us to obtain the raw coffee beans inside. The raw beans are packaged and placed in a warehouse at 12-22 degrees Celsius with 45-55% humidity for about 50 days of bean resting and further dehydration. When the moisture content reaches around 11%, they are hulled and sorted for formal market sales.

The Story Behind Flower Queen
In 2017, Ethiopia's DW green bean company sent their coffee beans to the TOH (The Taste Of Harvest) competition hosted by the African Fine Coffee Association, where their natural-processed batch won the TOH Ethiopia championship.
This batch of green beans was imported by Beijing green bean trader "Hongshun International" that year. Due to its championship status, it was named "Flower Queen."
