This Burundi coffee variety is heirloom Bourbon, grown in mountainous regions at approximately 1,900 meters elevation, using fully washed processing. Both the variety and processing method are unique Burundian traditions. After depulping, the coffee undergoes 12 hours of fermentation in tanks, followed by 6 hours of washing. The drying process occurs in two stages: initial drying, then transfer to traditional African raised beds for final drying.
