In summary, from a purely taste perspective, inexpensive Robusta certainly has advantages! However, from a health perspective, it might be a different story...
Price is irrelevant - crema depends on the degree of roasting. Dark roasted coffee beans produced during and after the second crack will inevitably have rich crema and reach maximum bitterness.
In reality, high-quality beans aren't typically used for dark roasting. The optimal roasting plan should be determined based on factors such as origin, bean variety, etc., to highlight the best flavors. In other words, coffee beans with abundant crema are generally not of the highest quality and are typically the practice beans we use for latte art.
Robusta beans are inexpensive, produce thick crema, but have extremely poor taste. Crema is not the standard for measuring coffee quality.
