San Francisco Estate
Estate Owner:
In 1975, Luis Guillermo Posada purchased a small farm in Concordia, Antioquia. He cultivated coffee, tomatoes, and various varieties of fruit trees on the farm, including mango trees, orange trees, tangerine trees, avocado trees, and other species.
Recognizing coffee's immense potential, he began focusing on the coffee industry. Through diligent study, persistent research, his cultivation abilities, and business acumen, Luis quickly developed his capabilities and was able to sell his entire monthly production at the town market.
Gradually, he began introducing advanced techniques to achieve substantial yields and better quality. His coffee soon became renowned among exporters, and quickly, asset accumulation allowed him to acquire a second farm, followed by a third and fourth within just a few years...
Today, the Luis Guillermo Posada family has become one of Colombia's renowned coffee producers and exporters.
Currently, Luis's son, Santiago Posada, has learned all the skills of cultivating and promoting coffee from his father. He himself is diligent and hardworking, passionate about coffee, and dedicated to becoming a powerful coffee producer in the Antioquia region.
The Estate:
San Francisco Estate is located at an altitude of 1,620-1,780 meters. The favorable climate allows the estate to harvest year-round, maintaining peak coffee production. San Francisco has approximately 400,000 pure Arabica coffee trees, of which 20% are Caturra, 30% are Colombia F7, and another 50% are Castillo. The production process includes washed and semi-washed methods. The estate manager is a native from the Narino region of Colombia, who has a professional model in the agricultural field, using advanced production and cultivation techniques to grow coffee, obtaining various certifications, with his achievements and awards continuously being renewed.
To have a greater impact on the coffee circle and for their own continuous development, the Posada family has successfully produced a wide variety of coffees, such as high-quality washed, excellent honey-processed, natural, and other specialty coffees.
