In 1975, Luis Guillermo Posada bought a small farm in Concordia, Antioquia. He grew coffee, tomatoes, and various kinds of fruit trees on the farm, among them mango, orange, tangerine, and avocado trees, along with other species.

Recognising coffee's immense potential, he began focusing on the coffee business. Through diligent study, persistent research, his cultivation skill, and his business acumen, Luis quickly developed his capabilities and was soon able to sell his entire monthly production at the town market.

Gradually he introduced advanced techniques to achieve substantial yields and better quality. His coffee became well known among exporters, and before long his accumulating assets allowed him to acquire a second farm, then a third and a fourth within just a few years.

Today the Luis Guillermo Posada family has become one of Colombia's renowned coffee producers and exporters.

Luis's son, Santiago Posada, has learned all the skills of cultivating and promoting coffee from his father. He is diligent and hardworking, passionate about coffee, and determined to become a leading coffee producer in the Antioquia region.

The Estate:

San Francisco Estate sits at an altitude of 1,620-1,780 meters. The favourable climate lets the estate harvest year-round and maintain peak coffee production. San Francisco holds roughly 400,000 pure Arabica coffee trees, of which 20% are Caturra, 30% are Colombia F7, and another 50% are Castillo. The production process covers washed and semi-washed methods. The estate manager is a native of Colombia's Nariño region with a professional background in agriculture, using advanced production and cultivation techniques to grow coffee, obtain various certifications, and keep renewing his achievements and awards.
