This estate in El Salvador has been family-operated for fifty years. Approximately 780 farmers nationwide are involved in cultivation and marketing. The main growing regions are distributed around the Balsamo Mountain Range and near the San Salvador Volcano. In terms of sales, the estate provides corporate loans, cultivation technical guidance, and financial support. To improve farmland productivity, the estate also offers fertilizers and raw materials to farmers at preferential rates.
The cultivation of Arabica coffee in El Salvador mainly comes from commercial varieties, including Bourbon, Pacas, Pacamara, and Red Catuai. Among these, Bourbon and Pacas varieties account for approximately 83% of the cultivated area.
El Salvador's coffee boasts unique flavors with a perfect balance of sweet and sour notes and a rich, smooth mouthfeel. It has gained outstanding acclaim internationally and is equally beloved by locals. Borgonovo currently offers HG grade green beans grown at altitudes of 800-1,200 meters, with 50%-60% of beans measuring at size 17. The SHG grade green beans are cultivated at altitudes above 1,200 meters, with over 60% of beans measuring at size 17.
