Although Italy does not produce coffee beans, Italians excel at sourcing green coffee beans from major producing countries around the world, blending them in different proportions before and after roasting to create Italian espresso blends.
After grinding Italian blend beans, they undergo high-temperature, high-pressure extraction through a coffee machine, resulting in Espresso—the core and soul of Italian coffee.
Adding foamed milk to this small 30ml cup of concentrated coffee creates a cappuccino or latte.
Making a good espresso! This is why qualified cafes can always maintain consistent coffee quality, ensuring it tastes just as good no matter when you enjoy it. Is it because of the barista's skill? Or because the cafe maintains good humidity? Actually, it's neither! It's because they chose the right coffee beans.
There are many products on the market claiming to be Italian espresso beans, but few truly live up to their name.
About Bean Selection
Not every coffee bean can become an espresso bean, because only high-quality Arabica coffee beans can withstand the high-temperature, high-pressure roasting and extraction. Therefore, we only select premium high-altitude specialty beans, hand-sorted for full, plump kernels.
About Roasting
Coffee roasting is like magic, transforming green raw beans into dark brown, aromatic coffee beans! Coffee roasting is the key factor determining coffee quality! Some espresso beans use deep roasting, comparing the collected crack sounds with other roasting parameters, allowing the natural evaporation of moisture in the beans to obtain high-quality coffee beans that present the original aroma of coffee. Through timely, safe one-way degassing packaging, the aroma of coffee is preserved to the greatest extent.
About Flavor Profile
Due to the deep roasting characteristics of espresso beans, their flavor profile exhibits greater richness. Deep roasting reduces the acidity of coffee beans while enhancing body and flavor, with prominent caramel notes, rich oils, and overall balanced mouthfeel. Under high-temperature extraction: low acidity, high sweetness, low bitterness, mainly presenting caramel sweetness and nutty, chocolate flavors. Under low-temperature extraction: medium sweetness, medium acidity, low bitterness, mainly presenting floral, citrus, and other fruit flavors, with smooth texture and persistent viscosity.
