Nekisse "Honey Kiss" Coffee Bean

Originally from Shakisso, Ethiopia, this coffee bean was named "Nekisse" after "the nectar (NAKED) from the Shakisso region." Processed using traditional natural drying methods, the coffee cherries are dried on high raised beds before the dried pulp and mucilage are removed, and finally sent to Addis Ababa for hulling. The original flavor profile featured very intense berry jam, creamy body texture, citrus, and tropical fruits. Later, the production area was moved to Wellega and Sidama because they discovered that the Sidama region could provide even better nectar and jam-like qualities.

In 2010, the third coffee to meet 90+ standards, "Nekisse," was launched and received the highest score of 96 points that year from Coffee Review. Because "Honey Kiss" sounds similar to "Naked-Say," it has another beautiful Chinese name called "Truth Coffee" (真心话咖啡).
