According to relevant literature and historical records, Tanzania coffee beans were first introduced by Catholic missionaries in 1898 with the Bourbon variety. Later in 1920, the KENT variety was reintroduced. To date, Tanzania's coffee varieties are primarily Bourbon and Kent. The market often likes to compare neighboring Kenya coffee with Tanzania coffee. It is generally believed that Kenya coffee significantly outperforms in bright acidity expression, but Tanzania coffee offers an overall smooth and gentle mouthfeel, particularly excelling in sweetness that Kenya coffee cannot match.
