El Salvador has numerous volcanoes within its territory and is known as the "Land of Volcanoes." The fertile volcanic soil provides an excellent source of nutrients for coffee beans. El Salvador coffee beans come from Finca Romania Estate in El Congo, Ana Province. This estate was inherited by Rosa Mena de Lima from her father and has been certified as an organic estate for the past decade, having also obtained certifications from the Rainforest Alliance and the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. Finca Romania Estate employs diverse canopy shade cultivation, including bitter melon, cypress, cedar, mahogany, and walnut trees. It also enjoys an ideal microclimate because the coffee is grown in the Apaneca mountain range, making it one of the most prestigious coffee-growing regions in the country.
