Indian Coffee Varieties
There are few Indian coffee brands, typically only two types: Monsooned Malabar and Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold. The Monsooned Malabar green beans are very dry and yellow in color, with a sweet flavor but somewhat monotonous, because they are left in ventilated warehouses to be caressed by the Indian Ocean monsoon winds for several seasons before shipment. Therefore, they have no acidity but the flavor is also somewhat lacking. However, Mysore consists of green, fresh green beans with richer flavors, carrying woody and grassy aromas, high body with low acidity, and a sweet taste.
Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold
Mysore is India's gold mining area, and this region is also rich in coffee beans. The growing altitude is approximately 1,200 meters. Specially selected quality beans with appearance reaching 18+ to 19 mesh washed coffee beans are called Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold.
Using the first letter combination MNEB as the highest grade coffee bean in Indian coffee bean classification.
Coffee beans produced in Mysore must be 18 mesh or larger, with clean and beautiful appearance of washed beans, to be called Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold.
The beans are large and beautiful, with a rich and intense sweet aroma. They enjoy quite a good reputation in Europe and have received high praise from many international judges in coffee competitions organized by the Indian Coffee Board.
The green beans are emerald green, carrying roasted nutty spice notes, rich in aromatic oils, with a rich and thick mouthfeel!
