Geographic Overview

Panama is located in Central America, with the Caribbean Sea to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west, bordering Costa Rica to the north. Coffee producing areas are mainly located in western Panama, including Boquete and Volcan-Candela. The Volcan-Candela region is named after the Baru volcano and the city of Piedra Candela, with an altitude of approximately 1,200-1,600 meters. The Baru volcano provides fertile soil, accompanied by stable and moderate rainfall as well as suitable high altitude, making the Baru volcano an excellent coffee producing region.
