Introduction:

Located in Sidama province, the coffee produced here is renowned for its unique and representative flavor characteristics. This distinction has earned it a special place in the coffee market, establishing its own product category.

Yirgacheffe itself is a small town with approximately 20,000 people. The three neighboring small sub-regions have coffee flavors nearly identical to Yirgacheffe, so they are also classified within the Yirgacheffe regional category.

While Yirgacheffe shares cultural and geographical similarities with nearby Sidamo, it appears to be especially favored with uniquely advantageous conditions. Top-quality Yirgacheffe coffee features floral notes, bright citrus acidity, lemon-toned aromas, and a silky smooth mouthfeel that consistently captures the attention of coffee enthusiasts. Amid the growing wave of the specialty coffee industry, coffee production from this region has always been a focal point for international buyers.

Located in southwestern Ethiopia, approximately 25 miles north lies the famous Yirgacheffe town. The production model primarily involves local small farmers delivering their batches to cooperatives for unified processing.

The local Chalalacktu village has about 100,000 people who rely on coffee for their livelihood, with related production activities serving as their main economic source. Thanks to the income generated from coffee production, the local standard of living is significantly better compared to many Ethiopian villages, with well-established health facilities, higher education institutions, and other infrastructure.

Advanced processing equipment enables coffee from the Kochere region to consistently demonstrate high standards in washed processing. The clean, sweet flavor profile with complex molasses and citrus notes is widely praised.

This specialty coffee uses the latest packaging technology from America's Grain Pro, Inc. The specially designed plastic inner bags for agricultural products can effectively reduce the contact area between green coffee beans and air, while preventing the beans from getting damp or wet during storage and transportation. This also reduces insect infestation and mold issues, extending the shelf life of green coffee beans and providing an optimal storage state for specialty coffee beans.
