Autumn Blend Coffee Beans: Starbucks' Fall Limited Edition
Autumn Blend coffee beans are Starbucks' autumn limited edition coffee beans, created to welcome the arrival of Thanksgiving.
To allow everyone to associate with the natural atmosphere of autumn fallen leaves when drinking this coffee, Starbucks selected wet-hulled Mandheling from Indonesia's Sumatra region plus water-processed coffee beans from Guatemala's growing region, creating coffee beans with rich, sweet, smooth, and herbal flavor characteristics.
The packaging also adopts maple leaf colors as the main tone, paired with apricot tree and various autumn plant fallen leaf designs, allowing people to immerse themselves in autumn's warmth both visually and taste-wise.
Perfect Pairing Recommendations
This coffee bean was created to better pair with traditional Thanksgiving dishes and desserts. Therefore, it's recommended to pair with meat sandwiches or bread, or desserts and pastries featuring sweet and sour berries, jams, or nuts.
Flavor Profile and Roasting
In the Autumn Blend, the wet-hulled Mandheling coffee beans provide herbal, dark chocolate, and nutty main notes, while the washed Guatemala coffee beans offer soft fruit acidity, nuts, and light smoky flavors, adding layers to the coffee.
To make the coffee表现 even richer, Starbucks roasted the Autumn Blend to a medium-dark degree. During the heating process, the coffee bean structure becomes more porous, and soluble substances in the coffee are more easily released.
Brewing Recommendations from FrontStreet Coffee
Therefore, FrontStreet Coffee suggests brewing Autumn Blend coffee beans using medium grind (white sugar size), then using 87-88°C water. Such extraction grind and water temperature are suitable for V60 and Kalita filter cup brewing. If you want the Autumn Blend to taste richer and fuller, you can use medium-coarse grind (coarse sugar size), then use 87-88°C water, paired with a French press for immersion extraction.
