Harry Potter fans know Butterbeer well. As for its taste, J.K. Rowling told Bon Appetit magazine in a 2002 interview that it "tastes somewhat like less-rich butterscotch."

After the interview, fans began making Butterbeer at home, and others begged bartenders to recreate it - so many bars quietly added it to their "secret menus."

Others disagree: spending dozens of yuan on fake beer feels like poor value, and a few non-drinkers who tried it said it really does taste like beer - which they couldn't accept.
