A stand-up comedian once told this joke: "I don't understand why they put so many things in milk tea these days? A cup of milk tea contains six or seven ingredients like glutinous rice, oats, and even a whole salted egg yolk?! I don't know how this big guy got in there, but I feel like I'm not drinking milk tea, but rather a zongzi (rice dumpling) that's been diluted with water."
When I saw this, I as a writer was still relieved that coffee only had a few fruits added, so when I felt something was wrong halfway through drinking, I could have a cup of fruit tea to smooth things out. Unexpectedly! Shortly after, ingredients were added to coffee that even made milk tea exclaim: "Big brother!"
Compared to glutinous rice, oats, taro paste, and boba, the coffee world is no longer satisfied with just fruits and small toppings! Various large ingredients like meats, seafood, and staple foods roam freely in the coffee world. If there were a martial arts tournament, it would truly be a complete Manchu-Han Imperial Feast!
