According to FrontStreet Coffee's store offerings, a cup of FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain No. 1 costs 60 yuan/200g. (Using 15g of coffee powder, brewed at a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio. Since the blooming part of coffee brewing absorbs about 25g, the final product is 200g.)

How to Purchase Authentic FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain No. 1 Coffee?
Whether it's store-brewed or whole beans sold by FrontStreet Coffee, all are Jamaican Blue Mountain No. 1 grade coffee beans from the oldest coffee estate in the Blue Mountains—Clifton Estate. The wooden barrels specified for Jamaican exported Blue Mountain coffee beans and the certificate of origin can both be seen at FrontStreet Coffee stores, guaranteeing authentic quality.
Jamaica's Clifton Estate
Jamaica's Clifton Estate is also the largest estate in the Blue Mountains, cultivated at an altitude of 1310m. This estate is Jamaica's oldest coffee producing area that is still in normal operation today, with over 200 years of history. It is also the only estate in the Blue Mountains with Rainforest Alliance certification. This certification can only be obtained by meeting "Sustainable Agricultural System Standards," and its wooden barrels feature the Rainforest Alliance certification logo.
FrontStreet Coffee's Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee Variety Introduction
The reason why FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain coffee is delicious lies in the rich mineral volcanic soil of the Blue Mountains and the consistently warm, rain-abundant microclimate. Additionally, the variety planted here is one of the oldest coffee varieties in the Arabica lineage—the clean and elegant Typica variety.
The first coffee tree in the Blue Mountains was transplanted from Martinique to Jamaica's Blue Mountains in the 1720s. After over 200 years, Blue Mountain Typica has evolved to have better disease resistance, particularly against coffee berry disease, which is superior to typical Typica varieties.
Why Is Blue Mountain Coffee Graded?
Not all coffee beans grown in the Blue Mountains can be called Blue Mountain coffee—only coffee beans grown at 910-1700m can bear the Blue Mountain coffee designation. This regulation exists because Typica coffee grown below 910m lacks the clean elegance and balanced sweet, sour, and bitter characteristics of high-altitude regions.
Therefore, coffee from 460m-910m can only be sold as "Jamaica High Mountain Coffee"; coffee below 460m can only be sold as "Jamaica Prime Coffee."
Meanwhile, Blue Mountain coffee beans have three grades: Blue Mountain No. 1, Blue Mountain No. 2, and Blue Mountain No. 3. All that enter the Chinese market are Blue Mountain No. 1 grade.
Blue Mountain No. 1 coffee beans require 96% of coffee cherries to reach size 17 or above, with a defect rate not exceeding 2% after processing;
Blue Mountain No. 2 coffee beans require 96% of coffee cherries to reach size 16 or above, with a defect rate not exceeding 2% after processing;
Blue Mountain No. 3 coffee beans require 96% of coffee cherries to reach size 15 or above, with a defect rate not exceeding 2% after processing;
How to Brew Jamaica's FrontStreet Coffee Blue Mountain No. 1 Coffee?
To preserve the balanced sweet, sour, and bitter flavors with a rich, solid mouthfeel of FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain No. 1, FrontStreet Coffee uses a medium-dark roast degree. Since all shipments are freshly roasted coffee beans within 5 days, everyone can take their time when receiving FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain coffee beans. Seal the coffee beans in their original packaging and place them until 5-6 days after the roast date before starting to brew—the coffee's flavor will perform even better!
To showcase the rich and balanced characteristics of FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain No. 1, FrontStreet Coffee recommends using lower water temperature for extraction, paired with the slower-flowing Kono dripper, to ensure maximum extraction of coffee substances under low-temperature conditions.
FrontStreet Coffee's store extraction parameters: Kono dripper, 88°C water temperature, 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio, 15g coffee weight, grind size (70-75% pass-through rate with No. 20 standard sieve).
Pouring method is as follows: First pour 30g of hot water for a 30-second bloom, then inject a fine stream of water from the center and slowly circle to 125g. Wait until the water level in the dripper drops to just about exposing the coffee bed, then continue circling to 225g. Total extraction time is approximately 2 minutes. Finally, shake the extracted coffee liquid evenly before tasting.
FrontStreet Coffee's brewed FrontStreet Coffee Blue Mountain No. 1 coffee beans emit caramel aroma during the blooming stage. When tasted, you'll experience rich nutty and dark chocolate flavors, with an overall full mouthfeel and a sweet, clean aftertaste.
