What are the characteristics of Costa Rican Goddess Geisha coffee beans? What are Geisha-flavored coffee beans?
Although Panama's Geisha coffee beans were introduced through Costa Rica, the reputation of Panamanian Geisha far surpasses that of Costa Rica. When FrontStreet Coffee cupped Geisha coffee beans from both Costa Rica and Panama, they particularly appreciated the flavors of Panamanian Geisha, while Costa Rican Geisha seemed to lack some of the characteristic Geisha essence.
However, FrontStreet Coffee discovered the essence of Panamanian Geisha in a Costa Rican Geisha coffee. This is today's featured variety—the Geisha Goddess.
Geisha Goddess: Characteristics and Processing
Geisha Goddess, more precisely, is Geisha coffee from the Goddess Estate. In terms of its green bean characteristics, it closely resembles Panamanian Geisha. This Geisha underwent anaerobic enzyme washed processing, but the fermentation level is perfectly balanced, avoiding exaggerated aromas while preserving the characteristic Geisha flavors.
Cupping Notes
When FrontStreet Coffee cupped this bean, the aroma revealed notes of orange blossom. Upon slurping, one could experience bright and clear lemon acidity, with flavors of rose tea and honey.
