Guatemala's Unique Coffee Regions

Guatemala's unique geographical conditions provide natural environments suitable for coffee cultivation throughout the country. The nation has eight coffee-producing regions, all located primarily in highland terrain under subtropical climate conditions. The varying hydrological conditions in different regions give each producing area its distinctive flavor profile.

Antigua Region

The Antigua region of Guatemala sits at an altitude of 1,500 meters. Its location is close to the peaks of the Agua and Fuego volcanoes, with Fuego being an active volcano that periodically erupts, ensuring the local soil fertility rarely declines. The region contains extensive pristine forests, and its soil is rich in potassium ions. With stable precipitation and superior conditions, it is considered a blessed land for coffee cultivation. The coffee produced here features mature fruit flavors, with captivating tobacco notes combined with gentle bitterness that showcases the confidence of Guatemala in every cup.
