In China, many people have heard of the fame of Blue Mountain Coffee even if they haven't tasted it. Blue Mountain Coffee is a world-renowned coffee, and the Blue Mountains are located in the eastern part of Jamaica. The mountains are surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, and whenever the island weather is clear, sunlight directly shines on the azure sea surface, then reflects on the peaks, presenting the brilliant blue light of seawater, hence the name Blue Mountain.
The reason Blue Mountain Coffee can have such a balanced flavor is due to its advantageous geographical location. Jamaica is actually an island nation in the Caribbean Sea. The warm sea breeze and mountain terrain provide abundant rainfall and fertile soil for this coffee-growing region. The fertile volcanic soil and relatively low mountain altitude give Blue Mountain Coffee its unique gentle and mild flavor.
Currently, most Blue Mountain Coffee uses the washed processing method. First, the coffee beans are peeled and hulled, then the raw beans are placed in clean water to ferment for 12-18 hours to remove the mucilage from the raw beans. After fermentation, they undergo repeated washing and screening. The raw beans with parchment are placed on concrete floors or thick blankets for drying until the moisture content of the raw coffee beans drops to 10%-12%. Then they are packed in special oak barrels and stored in temperature and humidity-controlled warehouses.
Real Blue Mountain Coffee uses the highest quality local coffee beans, which is the charm of Blue Mountain Coffee. Blue Mountain Coffee has a rich, balanced, and fruity acidity that can meet the various needs of specialty coffee enthusiasts. In addition, high-quality fresh Blue Mountain Coffee has a particularly lasting flavor, just as wine connoisseurs say—an endless aftertaste.
